WELCOME TO THE ST PETER'S CHURCH WEBSITE
Following the retirement of Giles Harris-Evans after ten happy and fruitful years as our Vicar, St Peter's is in an interregnum. We ask for your prayers for all those charged with finding our new incumbent
Almighty God,
the giver of all good gifts,
guide with your heavenly wisdom
those who are to choose a faithful pastor
for this parish:
that we may receive
one who will speak your word and serve your people
according to your will;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Dear Friends
St Peter’s Church stands firmly at the centre of Petersfield’s busy and thriving community. We always offer a warm welcome to visitors, newcomers and enquirers. The church is a beautiful ancient and holy building but it’s not sacred, we are open every day for worship, prayer, quiet or just to have a look around. Please come and visit us soon!
St Peter’s is part of the Diocese of Portsmouth within the Church of England. Every Sunday we meet at 9.30am for our main act of worship. We also have a Junior Church for children and on the first Sunday of the month our service is specially designed to help people of all ages worship together.
At the moment we are without a Priest-in-Charge but the process of finding a replacement for our last Vicar is progressing well. We are positive about our future in this growing church.
At the heart of all that we do is the desire to celebrate the love of God made known in Jesus Christ, to serve our neighbour as ourselves and to grow in faith and love together. Together with all the other churches in town we hope to witness to Christ’s presence amongst us all.
