Today is Father Paul Smith’s last Sunday at St Albans, West Leigh. Dominic and our churchwardens will present Paul with a gift and best wishes from us all in his new ministry later today in West Leigh.
Tuesday 7th September - The Eucharist at 8.00am will take place at St Mary Magdalen, Sheet.
Wednesday 8th September - The Rev Judith Bee will be licensed to St Mary’s Buriton at 7.30pm.
Tuesday 7th September - Tearfund meet in St Peter’s hall at 7.30pm.
Saturday 11th September - Historic Ride and Stride. Forms to take part in this and raise money for St Peter’s are now available in the parish office. If you could help man the church for an hour or so during the day to welcome visitors, please let Brenda in the office know.
Tuesday 14th September - Mothers’ Union meet in St Peter’s hall at 10.30am. Mrs Jean Price will take on “Working with prison fellowship”.
Tuesday 21st September - Messy Church at the Methodist church from 3.30pm. For school age children. Details from Emma Dean 01730 268421.
Thursday 23rd September - Guild of St Luke will be held in church at 2.00pm.
Saturday 25th September - Licensing of Melanie Evans as Reader in Portsmouth Cathedral at 11.00am. All are welcome to come and support Melanie. Her first service as a Reader will be the following day at 9.30am.
Confirmation Classes for adults will be starting on Monday 20th September at 8.00pm at 38 Larcombe Road, Petersfield. If you are interested in joining the group, please e mail Dominic urgently stpeterscurate@btinternet.com or telephone him on 00730 266199.
